I am an older rider that had been away from horses for about 30 yrs. I realized what I had learned during Pony Club, my OTTB didn't understand and we were not connecting as a team. I needed help. I met Paisley about 4 yrs. ago and she was a match for me instantly. She understood that I didn't want to put extra tack or gadgets on him. He needed to start over and learn to move the right way to develop the correct muscles and that takes time and work.
Paisley's years of riding and coaching has given her the ability to adapt to all ages of riders and horses. She will always find a way to connect with you. If you or your horse don't understand an instruction, she will find a way. Plus she will explain why, so you truly understand Paisley has tons of patience, because becoming a team with your horse can take time. It's always a joy to see/feel my guy learn something new with Paisley's guidance.

Paisley, Will and I have worked together for the last two years. When I met Paisley, I had only been riding for 6 months. She is unassuming and humble yet has a wealth of knowledge and experience.
I am a forty something year old novice who wanted to learn how to ride. Against everyone’s advice, I bought a horse after taking lessons for only 4 months. Will is an Irish Sports horse with the absolutely best personality. Only issue is he didn’t come fully trained and is a wee bit lazy. As others have said, it is about the journey, not the destination.
When Paisley did her initial assessment, she watched Will and I and sent me a detailed email with her observations and recommendations. I was so encouraged by her technical assessment and the training plan she proposed. I truly feel she understands horses and can assess their capability in addition to the rider. She knew exactly where Will and I were at and what we needed to focus on. She designed a training plan comprised of lessons and also trains Will.
That was two years ago and I believe that we have progressed leaps and bounds. When a teacher can train an adult and use vivid examples to help you visualize and apply what they are teaching in the moment, I believe they are a masterful coach!
I have kept one video that my husband shot during a lesson last winter. We were going through jumps and you can hear Paisley, shouting,” beautiful, beautiful”. I have saved it as it is a milestone for Will and I but also recognition from someone who inspires me and teaches me something new every time the three of us are together.

I have been part-boarding Alex for just under two years now which is when I started taking lessons with Paisley. I rode and competed hunter on the trillium circuit for about 10 years before taking a 4 year break from riding. Alex is an older thoroughbred that was trained and shown in eventing. I was looking to get myself back into shape and to work on my confidence so I figured lessons would be the best way to do that. I started off with hunter lessons and after about six months felt confident enough to try Dressage which I had always been interested in.
Paisley starts by teaching you how to use your basic aids and body to get the best results from your horse.
If something is not working she can always find a solution that works for both you and the horse.
One of my highlights while under Paisley"s coaching was learning how to work the horse in a true extended trot. Although I have done extended trot with previous coaches I was really only ever working the horse in a fast paced trot. I now know how to ask the horse to work through their shoulder to stretch out and extend the stride.
My goal is to one day be experienced enough in Dressage to be able to train young horses in the discipline and I am confident that with Paisley"s help I will be able to do so .

When I met Paisley 3 years ago, she asked me about my riding experience and my objectives. My answer: I’m a late blooming equestrian (40+) with more determination than skill in the saddle.
Since that day, Paisley has guided me to a deeper understanding of the horse’s (and my) mind, body and spirit. Under her ever watchful eye, I’ve evolved from eager...to rider. I’ve graduated from loud to quiet and bouncy to balanced.
Paisley connects with the rider - and horse - for every breath, stride and jump. Keenly aware of the harmony between challenge and learning, she adapts each lesson, each correction, each word of encouragement to the situation and the individual.
Paisley cultivates confidence through knowledge and precise technique.
